Public sector leaders convene in Washington D.C. to accelerate the promise of modern, digital civic engagement
Granicus, the leading provider of cloud-based software solutions and digital engagement services for the public sector, announced that it will hold its 12th annual Granicus National Summit on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Washington, D.C. This must-attend event, a gathering of over 1,000 cross-functional government communication and technology leaders from across the country, features national experts in government technology and digital transformation, offering insights, strategies and practical examples of innovation that has real impact on government and the people they serve.
“The Granicus National Summit is an extraordinary opportunity for public sector change makers at the federal, state, and local levels to collaborate, learn, and shape new approaches to digital communications and service delivery,” said Granicus Chief Marketing Officer Susan Ganeshan. “This year’s Summit will be bigger and better than ever with a unique roster of impressive speakers who offer inspirational ideas and real-world examples on transformational citizen engagement.”
With keynote addresses from the host of NPR’s Hidden Brain, Shankar Vedantam, and New York Times best-selling author and digital marketing expert, Jay Baer, attendees will enjoy keynotes filled with learning sessions that focus on how government innovators can break through institutional barriers to maximize the benefits of government specific technology.
This year’s program also features industry pundits like Valerie Green, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Ligado Networks who spent seven years in the Obama Administration. She will share her vision for how new technologies and the proliferation of data will transform how the public sector communicates and serves citizens. Mark Hynes, Granicus CEO, will share Granicus’ vision for how governments can utilize existing and new technologies to more efficiently and effectively engage their constituents and have a greater impact in their communities. This year’s jam-packed agenda also features digital adoption experts like Angy Peterson, Granicus Vice President of Digital Engagement Services and 20-year marketing strategy executive, who will provide unique insights from her experience supporting numerous government agencies on their digital adoption journeys.
