The OnePlus Nord breaks during bending test
The recently launched OnePlus Nord is cheaper than the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, allowing sacrifices in materials and parts as well. It uses a less efficient 765 G chipset from Snapdragon, has a slightly narrower display, no camera for images, and a plastic frame.
In terms of longevity, the last one is the greatest differentiator to the metal-framed OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. During the daily bent check at JerryRigEverything, the plastic frame broke. As on too many many devices, the least structurally-sound location in the frame seems to be just below the volume rocker.
The majority of the reliability of OnePlus Nord has gone as normal-cracks at level 6, all this kind of things.
Today, the lack in longevity in the real world will be hard to recreate. Moving the phone like that needs a particular pressure to be exerted and it's definitely not a big deal. Now it's good to learn, particularly for those intending to hold the OnePlus Nord in the pockets of tight jeans.
